How To Get Your New #YouTube One Channel Ready For Prime Time. #Video
As Google says, “make your first impression count”. YouTube is now giving you just the means to do so with the launch of their new YouTube One Channel design which is now available to all users. Simply be logged in to your YouTube account and head to the YouTube One Channel official page to immediately opt in to the new look and functionality. I can show you a few examples of the new layout and capabilities from one of the multifamily apartment communities I work with called Grapevine Station Apartments in Grapevine, Tx just outside of Dallas. Grapevine Station Apartments is on the cutting edge with using video and social media to connect with prospects using branded content and community generosity to attain their goals. You will never see them wasting time “selling” in the traditional way which is the key to success as the social media space gets even louder.
There are a few new options with the new YouTube One Channel that will help your brand stand out and also maintain your brand look and feel across all devices:
- One of the main things that will stand out the most is the addition of “Channel Art”. Channel Art is a new sort of “all in one” header that displays across all devices but will look a little differently on each one while keeping the same feel. The optimize size for this new YouTube One Channel Art is 2120 x 1192 pixels and you should pay close attention to the Channel Art guidelines. As you can see in the example below, YouTube has done a nice job overlaying your brand and social media links within the channel art.
- With the new YouTube One Channel you can now set a non-subscriber trailer that will encourage people to subscribe to your channel. Take this opportunity to have fun and be creative showing potential subscribers what they will get when they subscribe to your page. Below is what you see as a non subscriber when you land at the Grapevine Station Apartments YouTube One Channel.
- “Sections” within the new YouTube One Channel design now give you greater control of how your content displays on your channel. You can organize by playlists, popular uploads, recent uploads, likes and tags.
- Tags are now more robust with the new YouTube One Channel. Users can create content streams based on tags that they have assigned for uploaded videos.
This is a great update for content producers to deliver a slick new look and feel no matter where you fans are consuming your content from a mobile device to a television.
